Privacy Policy

When you contact us or request a website through our form, we collect what you enter: your name, business name, phone number, email, trade, city or service area, whether you have a website, whether you qualify for our heroes discount, and your message. We also record which page the form was sent from.

If you're a client, we also store your account details (name, email and a securely hashed password), the business information shown on your website, and the leads your website receives.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.

• To reply to your request and talk with you about our service
• To build, host and maintain client websites and the client dashboard
• To deliver leads and send lead alert emails to our clients
• To send service emails such as password resets, billing notices and renewal reminders
• To keep our service secure and prevent spam and abuse

If you contact us about our service, we may follow up by phone or email about your request. You can ask us to stop at any time.

When you fill out a form on a website we host for one of our clients (for example, a quote request to a lawn care company), your information is sent to that business. We store and deliver it on their behalf, and they decide how to use it. Questions about how a business uses your information should go to that business directly.

We use one essential cookie to keep clients signed in to their dashboard. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't currently use third-party analytics or tracking on our websites.

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our service, under their own privacy and security commitments:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Railway — database hosting
• Resend — sending email
• Our payment processor — to bill clients

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above — for clients, for the length of the agreement and a reasonable period afterwards for records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we need to keep it for legal or billing reasons.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or tell us to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@putyouonthemap.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; we'll honor them.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls so each client can only see their own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Our service is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll let clients know by email.
